How Many Attendants Should You Have?
On average, brides have 4-6 bridesmaids. The number can also depend on the formality and size of the wedding.
If you’re having a small 20 person wedding, it would be odd to have a 12 person bridal party. Attendants should never outnumber the guests. A rule of thumb that you can follow is 1 usher for every 50 guests. But in the end, the number of attendants is up to you.
You can have as many or as few as in your bridal party as you like. Just remember one thing, the more attendants you have, the greater the expense. More limos, bigger receiving line, bigger head table, more bouquets, and what could be the greatest headache of all, more bridesmaids to agree on the bridesmaids dresses.
